Developing Enterprise Skills

Next term our focus will be on developing enterprise and numeracy skills. To give our learners an insight into the world of business we are running our Enterprise ‘Make it Grow’ Project.

Parents and Friends of Arngask will loan

Nursey to P3 pupils -£1 and P4-7 pupils - £5

to set up their own business and become entrepreneurs!

Siblings can work together to create their own family business or pupils can work together with their friends. All profits made belongs to our school and will be used to improve learning.

‘Make it Grow’ offer pupils the opportunity to develop essential skills that will prove invaluable both in their academic life and future careers. These include:

  • Numeracy
  • Literacy
  • Teamwork
  • Problem solving
  • Money management
  • Leadership
  • Creativity
  • Enterprising spirit

An Enterprise Fayre has been arranged for Friday 29 November from 2-3.30 pm to provide children with the opportunity to sell their products or services.

Prizes will be awarded to pupils for raising the most amount of money, for creativity, teamwork and enterprising spirit. A special Prize Giving Ceremony will take place on Friday 6 December at 2pm to which you are invited.

If you do not want to take part in our ‘Make it Grow’ Project please return the money provided to the school office by 2 October 2019.
